The USGBC works with members to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life. CaraGreen's President, Stacy Glass, currently sits on the Board of Directors and is the Treasurer for the Triangle USGBC Chapter.

Green Home Builders of the Triangle

Green Home Builders of the Triangle is a joint program of the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Durham, Orange & Chatham Counties and the HBA of Raleigh-Wake County.  Members work to promote a Green Building program based on the Model Green Home Building Guidelines developed by the National Association of Home Builders.

America Institute of Archictects (AIA)

The AIA plays an active role in the continuing education of its members to maximize their professional skills through effective learning partnerships with firms, continuing education providers, and all AIA components. CaraGreen also plays an active role as an AIA CES Registered Provider. This means that we can come to your firm and provide educational content to architects and interior designers that will result in continuing education credits. Our affiliate designation with Cradle-to-Cradle indicates our commitment to the efforts towards regenerative building practices and ecologically intelligent design that have been heavily espoused in Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things, a 2002 book by Michael Braungart and William McDonough. By being an affiliate, we can help manufacturers navigate the process for C2C Certification through McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry, LLC.

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) - Chain of Custody Certification # SCS-COC-001477

CaraGreen earned its FSC Chain of Custody Certification in early 2009, demonstrating commitment to the environment and responsibly managed forests. The FSC is an international organization that promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world's forests. FSC Chain of Custody certification recognizes that CaraGreen meets strict tracking requirements for ensuring the FSC-certified products it provides come from well-managed forests. Our FSC-certified offerings include Plyboo bamboo plywood and flooring, the only FSC-certified bamboo available.
