Highland Craftsmen, the makers of Bark House, began manufacturing their nationally acclaimed Bark House shingles in 1990 and didn’t stop there. Today, they offer a full line of architectural elements for both inside and outside.  From the beginning their mission has been to minimize the impact of construction by harmonizing with nature.  They are members of the USGBC and have attained Cradle to Cradle certification on their Bark House Poplar Bark Siding. Their facility is state of the art and specifically designed for the manufacturing of Bark House materials and products. They have dedicated kilns for the drying of bark shingles and others for their interior elements. Their warehouse is climate controlled and maintains appropriate moisture levels while products await shipment. And, they have an exclusive 5-point quality control program to ensure their clients enjoy the full benefits that their bark house shingles offer.
