CaraGreen now represents TorZo Sustainable Surfaces in DC and Maryland. The additional territory comes as a result of CaraGreen’s success with the product in NC, SC, GA, TN, VA, and FL. CaraGreen has secured specifications in projects ranging from corporate offices to restaurants. Sales Manager, Lisa Feldman commented “We are more enthusiastic than ever about TorZo’s products. They have a stellar sustainability profile, interesting aesthetic, and the company continually innovates.” TorZo sheet goods are manufactured from agricultural by-products, such as sorghum straw and wheat, as well as recycled wood. N2 is the collaboration of Michael Nay and Clint Bearden, who have over 40 years combined experience in the architecture and design industries.
Michael Nay, President, founded Environmental Graphics, an architectural signage manufacturer focused on the hospitality market, where he directed some of the largest projects ever constructed by Marriott. And, Clint Bearden, Creative Director, has developed brand strategies for clients including Coca-Cola, Bacardi, and Porsche. Clint is a talented assemblage artist and painter whose work is featured in collections throughout the US.

CaraGreen is proud to announce our newest addition, Kim Wike, who will be our Sales Representative for the Triangle and surrounding areas. Kim brings both enthusiasm for green building and knowledge of architecture and design to the position. She serves as the Triangle USGBC's Chapter Communications Chair and is a LEED AP. Kim studied Interior Architecture at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After school, Kim gained hands on experience in design and project management while working at a local architecture firm. Kim will work with architects, designers, and contractors to educate them on sustainable finish materials, provide samples and product knowledge, and guide selections for projects from start to finish. Ann Kerstetter of A Materials Konnection, Inc. (AMK) has joined CaraGreen as our product representative in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Ann found her way to the design world after first majoring in Elementary Education at Penn State University and then working for a major airline for six years. Neither the classroom or the friendly skies could touch her unwavering passion for interior design, and she eventually returned to school for it. Ann worked as a Resource Manager for seven large A & D firms during the day while going to school in the evenings. In her position as Resource Manager, Ann interacted with sales representatives on a daily basis and determined she wanted to stay on the sales side of business. Ann founded AMK, Inc. in 2004 to represent select manufacturers that offer innovative, high design products. Ann will help CaraGreen raise awareness for Durat solid surface and Meld concrete in the DC area and provide personalized service to architects and designers. CaraGreen is celebrating the release of Understanding Green Building Materials, a book written by our very own Stacy Glass and Jessica McNaughton, along with Traci Rose Rider of Trace Collaborative. The primer, now available through Amazon and Barnes and Noble, explains green building products - what they are and how to choose them. From eco-friendly sheetrock to sustainable paint finishes, the green building movement is expanding. But with new products, manufacturers, and standards being introduced routinely, how are architects or designers to know what's best for their projects? This book summarizes what is available and the considerations for selecting sustainable materials.
