CaraGreen Hiring Senior Sales Representative

CaraGreen seeks a motivated Senior Sales Representative who will be responsible for building relationships, educating prospective customers, and driving sales of our products in the Southeastern United States.

Compensation: Compensation will consist of a competitive base salary commensurate with experience and a bonus commensurate with performance. Benefits include paid time off, health insurance, and 401k.

Reports to: President

Company: CaraGreen is a sustainable products distributor serving the Southeastern United States. The company’s principal office is located in Carrboro, NC, and its warehouse is located in Graham, NC. In early 2008, CaraGreen began offering distribution, education, and sales & marketing services for innovative, high quality environmentally sustainable building materials. With green building gaining momentum and permanency in the U.S., CaraGreen has ramped up sales and operations quickly to capitalize on this fast growing segment of the building materials market.

CaraGreen is a family owned company whose principals have experience in green design; green product distribution; product, building, and interior design; and the professional services industry.

Responsibilities: CaraGreen is looking for a Senior Sales Representative to focus on our line of interior sustainable finishes (countertops, flooring, tiles, wall finishes, sheet goods, etc.). The candidate will be responsible for meeting with designers and architects, conducting education sessions, and setting up a network of wholesale accounts. The region will vary by product line. Our ideal candidate will have sales expertise, experience in the building industry, and an interest in sustainability. Responsibilities include:

Sales & Business Development

• Travel throughout territory (DC, VA, NC, SC, GA), average 2 to 3 overnights per week
• Prospect for new clients
  
  • Builders and Contractors
  • Fabricators
  • Specialty Lumber Yards
  • Cabinet Makers and OEM’s
  • Kitchen and Bath showrooms
  • Architects and Designers
• Work with Developers, Designers, and Contractors to ensure specification and use of CaraGreen products
• Grow the stocking dealer/wholesale network
• Participate in authorized trade and consumer shows in the territory.
• Participate in business related associations and membership meetings.

Green Expert /Educator

• Become familiar with Green Building Certification programs and become an Accredited Professional in the USGBC’s LEED rating system or similar program.
• Make professional presentations on products and programs

Task Management

• Diligent use of Salesforce.com to track activities and manage accounts
• Weekly team meetings, administration and reporting required

Experience:

• 5+ years outside sales experience required
• Four year college degree
• Sales experience with architectural products and process
• Proven success with architects, designers, specifiers, builders, and contractors
• Interest in environmental sustainability and green products
