CaraGreen Now Offers IDCEC Approved Continuing Education Course

CaraGreen now offers a course that is accredited through the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC). Interior Designers that take the course are elgible for Continuing Education Units.  The course is titled “Building Materials for Sustainable Interiors” and covers the following:

With LEED’s increasing influence on design today, this presentation gives the designer insight on how interior materials can contribute to LEED credits, and also help tell the sustainable story our clients are hoping to communicate when they decide to “go green.”  Beginning with a high-level overview of LEED and why it has become so important, we then delve into the Materials and Resources related credits in LEED-NC. Finally, new and interesting sustainable options to traditional building materials are discussed, and a hands-on demonstration of actual materials rounds out the presentation. Designers should leave the presentation with a sense that interior materials really can make a difference in contributing to a truly sustainable space.

If you’re interested in having CaraGreen present this course at your office, email Lisa Feldman at lisa@caragreen.com.
