Turning House Millworks Reclaimed Wood Now Available

Now you can use reclaimed wood in place of fresh cut lumber in your sustainable projects for comparable prices.  Turning House Millworks has partnered with CaraGreen in its launch of reclaimed woods from deconstructed buildings in the southeast.  With millions of board feet in stock, Turning House is the leading source for over 15 species of reclaimed wood, which is availabl e in solid wood flooring, engineered flooring, lumber, and beam stock.

Turning House Millworks reclaims vintage lumber from old buildings that are unable to be restored and have been slated for deconstruction, but that hold precious and rare wood varieties. Through a careful deconstruction process, they give this wood new life and maximize the yield of the materials.  The USGBC has ruled that the wood qualifies as 100% post-consumer recycled material and therefore contributes to LEED MR 4.1 and 4.2 for recycled content or MR 3.1 and 3.2 for materials reuse.

Turning House Millworks offers a number of vintage wood species, including Southern Longleaf Pine, old growth oak and old growth maple.  They also offer several precious wood varieties that have become difficult to find for commercial use, such as walnut, hickory, beech, birch, and cherry. Each species has its own unique patina, lending a distinctive personality to any project.
