The 2009 Women’s Leadership Summit at Meredith College will include an opportunity to explore the leadership lessons offered by women at the forefront of environmental change in their communities, businesses, and organizations.
The following leaders will be featured on the Women Leading Environmental Change panel discussion:

-Bonny Moellenbrock, Advisory Services Executive Director, SJF Ventures
-Linda Pearsall, Program Director, Natural Resource Planning & Conservation
The Women Leading Environmental Change session will feature discussion on how sustainable communities and economies develop in direct proportion to the creativity of leaders of these organizations, who are charged to gain public trust and enrollment into programs that affect our planet for years to come. Participants will hear from creative leaders who work daily to reshape our “greenprint” through enterprising and grassroots strategies. Ideas will be shared regarding emerging trends and tools for reshaping an organization’s sustainability vision and ways to leverage relationships across sectors for maximum impact. Session attendees will be offered a map for leading environmental change within their community and workplace.
Stacy Glass, President of CaraGreen, will serve as a panelist. With her BA from the University of Minnesota and MBA from Duke University, Stacy guides CaraGreen’s strategic partnerships and operations. She began consulting with CaraGreen in its formative stage, and then decided she couldn’t leave. Her consulting years, pre-CaraGreen, provided development of expertise in all aspects of operationalizing a business, including financial modeling, business development and fundraising for the non-profit sector, private industry and government. Glass has worked on an international level developing and executing start-up strategies for businesses and social enterprises, as well as contributing to rapid growth and expansion by developing new markets and managing multi-million dollar projects. She also serves as Treasurer on the Executive Committee of the Triangle USGBC.
The Women’s Leadership Summit will be held on September 25 on the Meredith College campus. Appropriately titled “Catalysts for Change”, the daylong seminar will help women unlock new ways to contribute to and lead their organizations and communities. The summit will bring together women from nonprofit, corporate, government and academic sectors for rich dialogues and in-depth workshop sessions.
