BaBa Baboom!

CaraGreen is excited to bring BaBa reclaimed flooring to its line of sustainable products.  BaBa, based in Pittsboro, North Carolina has a unique process for its antique wood flooring that gives the product a depth and luster unmatched by other reclaimed flooring options.  Species include white oak, red oak, pine, heart pine, cherry and several others – some over 100 years old.

The Southeast just got a lot cooler

CaraGreen is now the exclusive distributor of IceStone in the Southeast.  We are so excited to work with this modern surfacing material, and the great team of people that have worked to make IceStone the amazing product that it is today.

Deck The Halls!

Too early?  Not for PaperStone’s new textured panels:  DiaDeck and DiaScreen.  A new take on the popular surfacing material adds a pattern to the surface, on one side or both, that allows it to be used for decorative vertical or horizontal surfaces.   The criss-cross pattern also allows skid resistance for stair treads and flooring as well.   Samples are available now, and all colors are available in DiaDeck and DiaScreen options. Crew is teaming up with UltraTouch insulation on a Blue Jeans Go Green denim drive, which benefits communities in need.  Bringing a pair of your old “dungarees” (those ones hiding in the back of your closet) to a participating J. It’s Miller Time

Welcome to Molly Miller, CaraGreen’s new Director of Business Development and Marketing.  After spending 15 years in her family furniture business, Molly owned and operated an art gallery and worked in the design field for 8 years before becoming an independent sales rep for high end interior materials.  Molly will be focused on building our brands, our network and managing the CaraGreen showroom.  Congratulate her at molly@caragreen.com.

Madonna Was Wrong!!

It sure didn’t feel like we were living in a material world at GreenBuild last week.  The show standouts for materials were PaperStone, IceStone, and Kirei who were showing what is in vogue for sustainable finishes.  Cosentino was there with their Dekton and ECO lines, and there were a few other regional players, but overall the interior finishes were underrepresented.

But, what an opportunity to shine!  The architects and designers were clamoring to see the new textured finishes from PaperStone and some of their new “beta” colors as they test the market appetite for their new palette.   IceStone displayed their new two-toned Gotham Grey – which was emphatically received by the “who’s who” of the architecture world.  Kirei had a stunning display of EchoPanel in its vibrant colors and shapes on display. We are very excited to roll these out to our customer base over the next few months.  And don’t worry Madonna – we are still crazy for you too.

We Love It!

A big welcome to the popular TV show Love It or List It, which is filming its first US-based season in our backyard – Raleigh-Durham, NC.  We are very excited to play host to Big Coat Productions, as they film the 11th season of the couple-conundrum of choosing to “Love It” – and keep their home after the designer does her magic within the allowable budget – or “List It” and move on to a new home.  Keep an eye out for the amazing interior renovations for inspiration for your next projects.
