With tariff-free, healthy materials in higher demand than ever, PaperStone is one of our favorite domestic surfacing alternatives. Last month, we visited the PaperStone headquarters in Hoquiam, WA, and got to see exactly what goes on between the sheets of this recycled paper composite.
During one of the hottest weeks in July, distributors across North America convened in New York City to attend LAB Days, where Lapitec revealed their plans for the future of our favorite sintered stone material. Along with new colors and exciting brand changes to come, it gave us an opportunity to convene with our fellow distributors to learn and grow. Lapitec sintered stone is a product that was developed out of a desire to evolve the building materials industry, creating a product made of 100% natural minerals and that is 100% better than its predecessors. We can’t wait to see how they continue to grow over the coming months.
Now more than ever, the future of recycling is obscured with unreliable processing methods. If you’re looking for a surfacing material that offers a clear solution to the recycling issue, let us shed some light on it.
We’ve partnered up again with elementAl to create the newest addition to the elementAl surfaces brand: the LIGHT collection. Leading with transparency, the LIGHT collection continues the story of sustainability with an even higher recycled content. Available in 13 colors inspired by the light spectrum, elementAl LIGHT is comprised of 93% recycled acrylic. Easily thermoformed and suitable for vertical and horizontal surfacing designs, samples are available now.

With skyrocketing tariffs, toxic ingredients, and crumbling quality, quartz and granite quickly devolved from America’s surfacing sweetheart to the stuff of nightmares. But did you know there are stronger things? Lapitec sintered stone is made from 100% minerals and is turning the surfacing industry upside down. In tandem with the release of the 3rd season of Netflix’s Stranger Things, we’ll be diving deep into why Lapitec is the strongest surfacing, cladding, and decking material out there.
