UltraTouch denim insulation, Cotton Inc., and CaraGreen are teaming up on a grant program that provides insulation to architects and contractors that are working on community-based green buildings, such as museums, schools, and libraries. The program is meant to address the needs of these groups and help build green communities across America. As a result of our denim drives over the past few years, nearly a million square feet of R-13, R-19, R-21 and R-30 insulation are available for grants. Using UltraTouch can contribute to 12 LEED credits. UltraTouch is made from 85% post-consumer recycled and rapidly renewable cotton. It also offers maximum thermal performance and superior soundproofing (30 to 50 percent increase in acoustical performance). And, it has no VOCs, is safe to the touch and, as a result, can be installed without goggles, respirators and gloves. Contact CaraGreen for assistance with your grant application or fill out the application online. Grants are available now through Sept. 30, 2011.
