Millions of acres of forest across the Rocky Mountains have been devastated by the mountain pine beetle that spreads blue stain fungus. This blight takes over trees, killing them, and staining their wood a bluish gray. Due to the trees’ color, commercial loggers and commodity sawmills leave it behind. However, Torzo supports salvaging and utilizing this dead standing timber and highlighting its unique aesthetic.

Blue Stain Pine panels and planks are manufactured from this unexpectedly beautiful repurposed wood. Each log is methodically custom cut to maximize the wood’s natural beauty, character and color. Using Torzo's proprietary acrylic infusion process, they transform the wood into an extremely durable surface for tabletops, countertops, wall cladding, ceilings, and flooring.
