Elevated in Salt Lake City: Our Very First All Slab Fabbers Workshop!

The CaraGreen team recently packed our bags and headed west to Salt Lake City from July 16th - 17th for the All Slab Fabbers Workshop, and as our very first ASF event, we were excited to see what the community was all about.

Spoiler alert: It did not disappoint.

From the moment we arrived at Elevated Stoneworkz, we were blown away by the warmth and culture of this group. The ASF crew created an atmosphere that was incredibly welcoming, fun, and grounded. There were no egos, no pretension, and no hierarchy, just genuine, down-to-earth industry pros coming together on equal footing to share knowledge and lift each other up.

Brazilian BBQ, Podcast Spills, & Great Connections

While the workshop sessions were keeping everyone sharp on the shop floor, we loved getting to connect with the crowd during the social hours. Attendees fueled up with a legendary Brazilian-style BBQ lunch, followed by a fantastic evening reception over at Erik’s shop, Stone Galleria.

Once the safety glasses came off, the drinks started flowing, and the real shop talk began. It was an absolute blast connecting with shop owners, fabricators, and industry friends from across the country.

Our friends Laura Grandlienard and Massimo Ballucchi had a table set up to promote the Latin American Fabricators Network (LAFN) (as well as Rockin' Terrazzo), and they were incredibly well-received by the ASF crowd! We even got the chance to jump on the mic ourselves and record a segment for the Stone Chatter Podcast to talk about sustainable materials and where the surface industry is headed.

What’s Next? 

We left Salt Lake City with full minds, fresh inspiration, new friends, and a deep appreciation for the All Slab Fabbers community.
