If you’ve spent any time in our world, you know we have a bit of a thing for surfaces. We’ve spent years curating the best in recycled glass, modern alternatives to traditional solid surface, and paper composite surfaces. But today, we’re going back to our roots, literally.

We are excited to announce the launch of our Timber Slab Table (TST) collection to our portfolio of sustainable surfacing materials.

Now, before you say, "Wait, isn’t CaraGreen all about alternatives to traditional wood harvesting?" Let us stop you right there. These aren't your grandfather’s clear-cut mahogany slabs. These are the eco-warriors of the forest, and they’ve got a story to tell.

The Sustainability Low-Down (The "Green" in CaraGreen)

Our partners at TST didn’t just wander into the woods with a chainsaw. These timber slabs are sourced with rigorous scrutiny; we are talking salvaged, reclaimed, and sustainably harvested wood that turns "waste" into the centerpiece of your room.

By utilizing salvaged timber, trees that have fallen naturally or were cleared for essential infrastructure, we are practicing what we preach: Carbon Sequestration. Instead of these trees decomposing and releasing carbon back into the atmosphere (or worse, being turned into mulch), we’ve locked that carbon away in a stunning, hand-finished table that will probably outlast your favorite pair of boots.

It’s circularity you can actually set a coffee cup on.

Biophilia: Not Just a Fancy Word for "Plants"

We talk a lot about Biophilic Design, but it’s more than just putting a snake plant in a corner and calling it a day. It’s about the "Human-Nature Connection."

In a world of sterile, 90-degree angles and cold synthetic surfaces, a timber slab is a tactical hug. The organic live edge, which follows the natural periphery of the tree, introduces a natural complexity that our brains are evolutionarily hardwired to love. Studies show that being around natural wood grain can actually lower heart rates and reduce stress.

It’s Time for Timber Slab Tables

Whether it’s a sprawling boardroom table that says, "We’re powerful but we also care about the Earth," or a communal dining table that serves as the heart of a home, these slabs bring an undeniable soul to a space. No two are alike. Each knot, grain swirl, and imperfection is a timestamp of the tree's life.

In an era of mass-produced, flat-pack furniture that ends up in a landfill in three years, we’re choosing the heirloom route and now you can too.

Get Your Hands on One

Our new Timber Slab Tables are ready to be the focal point of your next project. They are rugged, refined, and as always better for the planet.

Timber Slab Tables FAQ

What are Timber Slab Tables made from?
Timber Slab Tables are crafted from sustainably sourced hardwood slabs, including salvaged trees that have fallen naturally, been struck by lightning, or removed as fall risks.

Where are Timber Slab Tables made?
Each table is handcrafted in North Carolina from wood sourced in the United States.

What makes Timber Slab Tables sustainable?
By using reclaimed and salvaged timber, the tables store carbon that would otherwise be released through decomposition. This approach turns potential waste into heirloom-quality furniture.

Are Timber Slab Tables customizable?
Yes. Each slab is unique, and tables can be fabricated in a wide range of sizes for applications such as dining tables, conference tables, desks, bar tops, and coffee tables. You can customize the size, metal table base, and live edge profile.

How durable are Timber Slab Tables?
The wood is air-dried for several months and then kiln-dried to an ultra-low moisture content to minimize movement over time. The slabs are sealed with food-safe finishes that protect the surface while maintaining the natural look of the wood.

How do you care for a Timber Slab Table?
Routine cleaning with warm water and mild soap is typically all that’s needed. Minor scratches can be repaired with light sanding and refinishing, making these tables easy to maintain for years to come.
